Hysterical is an honest and hilarious backstage pass into the lives of some of stand-up comedy’s most boundary-breaking women, exploring the hard-fought journey to become the voices of their generation and their gender.

Ellen Lundie is a comedian from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ellen is a regular stand-up and long form improv performer at Arcade Comedy Theater in Pittsburgh. Melanie White – As an aspiring empty-nester, comedian and playwright Melanie White uses humor to tell stories of parenting, midlife and marriage. In addition to performing stand-up at various comedy venues around Pittsburgh, she can also be seen in her one-woman show, “The Moms are Alright” locally at Carnegie Stage and off-Broadway as part of United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC. Kayleigh Dumas is a talented performer on the rise. She couples small town New England charm with strong joke writing and humor that embodies what it means to be young and broke and figuring things out. A former sorority sister and current cat lady, Kayleigh delights audiences with hot takes nobody asked for and stories about her life that her family wished she’d keep to herself. Emily Harris: Emily Harris is the Spirited Fun Improv Founder who brings together a lifetime of study, exploration, and real-world experience to her work. As an improvisational storyteller, arts educator, and spirited senior, Emily believes embracing the improv mindset of “yes, and” can go a long way to satisfy the need to laugh, feel good about ourselves, and take care of each other.
Kimberly Bennett: Kimberly is an up-and-coming comedian from Pittsburgh. She is a lawyer, who proudly doesn’t own a suit (and has never seen Suits). Her therapist is proud of her for using comedy to process her feelings. She has performed at venues including Bottlerocket Social Hall, Arcade Comedy Theater, Hard Rock Cafe and pop-up locations with Don’t Tell Comedy. She recently opened for Comedy Central’s Joe DeRosa.
Whitney Mor: Whitney Mor is a Comedian currently in the Pittsburgh area. Performing all over the city at comedy clubs and mics such as Brillobox, Arcade, Parkway Theatre, Gaslight Comedy, Chipped Ham Comedy etc. Taking second place in Pittsburgh’s Joyful Comedy Jumble competition,Whitney is aspiring to be a game changing voice in the Pittsburgh’s comedy scene. She is an unapologetic, well-written female presence in a male dominated space.
